2026 Financial Updates
As we prepare for the new year, we are implementing a few important updates designed to keep our scheduling and billing processes consistent, efficient, and supportive for all families.
These updates will go into effect January 1, 2026.
New Year = New Insurance Benefits
As we enter the new year, most insurance plans reset their deductibles, co-pays, and out-of-pocket maximums.
This means your cost per therapy session may change, and you may be responsible for different payments than you are currently paying.
To help avoid surprises, we recommend:
Contacting your insurance provider to confirm your new benefits, co-pays, and deductibles, and
Asking about coverage for outpatient pediatric therapy for 2026.
Private Pay Rate Increase
Beginning January 1, 2026, therapy sessions will be billed at $70 per 30-minute session, and evaluations will be $160. Families who wish to lock in the 2025 rates may do so by purchasing a lump sum of sessions before December 31, 2025. This option can help families plan ahead and save on upcoming therapy costs while continuing to receive high-quality care.
Credit Card on File Requirement
To simplify billing and reduce delays, all families will be required to keep a credit or debit card securely stored on file. Cards will be automatically charged at the time of service for private pay therapy sessions and insurance copays, deductibles, or coinsurance. Additionally, once insurance claims are processed—typically around the 15th of each month—your card will be charged for any outstanding balances of 30-days or more. This includes charges such as copays, coinsurance, deductibles, or insurance denials. This system helps ensure timely payments and eliminates unexpected billing surprises.
✨ Let our office know if you prefer to avoid the convenience fee on card transactions and would rather pay by cash or check.
Cancel & No-Show Fee Policy
Our current policy has always included a fee for late cancellations and no-shows; however, we have not consistently implemented it in the past. Beginning January 1, 2026, this policy will be fully enforced. If an appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, or if there is a no-show, a $30 fee will be charged. Each family will receive one free late cancel per month.
✨ To avoid being charged, the appointment can be rescheduled for a later date and time.
