2012

This little family business came from the two simple people that had no idea what they were doing. After graduating from the University of Georgia and moving to the Augusta area in 2012, Seth and Elizabeth Peavy quickly tried to find their roots in this new, but rapidly growing, city.

2013-2017

While trying to navigate this new life and new city, they both began working on their careers. Seth worked as an engineer while Elizabeth provided speech therapy services in private practice and school settings. As they lived in and learned about the CSRA, the need for more pediatric therapy facilities became a big topic of conversation at the dinner table.

2018

This conversation eventually left the dinner table, and Therapy Trails was born! With the rapid population growth in Grovetown, this seemed like the perfect place to open our doors. Therapy Trails in Grovetown had simple, but sweet, beginnings with only one office staff, one part-time occupational therapist, and one full-time speech therapist (Elizabeth)!

2019

Boy, did things change quickly. Soon the Grovetown clinic was busting at its seams with amazing staff and patients. Physical therapy was added as a service, along with many more speech and occupational therapists. While we were praying for insight on what to do next, the Lord provided the opportunity for us to purchase a pediatric therapy clinic in the neighboring town of Evans. As a result, we welcomed our second location to the Therapy Trails family in the fall of 2019.

2020

Then came 2020… which was a year of changes for everyone, but especially our family. In the middle of working from home and virtual therapy, Seth and Elizabeth welcomed their IVF daughter, Mallory, into the family. To add to the chaos, Seth left his engineering job to work full-time with Therapy Trails. Both of these life changes have proven to be nothing short of blessings!

2021-2022

Day to day, Seth provided the IT, facilities, and billing support while functioning similar to what other businesses call a CFO. Meanwhile, Elizabeth managed the personnel, therapy, processes, and marketing, just to name a few.

After helping build a great foundation for the billing department, Seth left Therapy Trails and returned to the corporate world as an engineer. He still provides his CFO support afterhours and gives husbandly advice as needed, and more importantly, when asked! Seth and Elizabeth welcomed their second IVF baby in 2023, who was born very early weighing 2lbs 8 oz. (But that’s a story for another day.) Now they are not only owners of a pediatric therapy clinic, but they are officially therapy parents as their daughter receives services from these talented therapists that treat her weekly.

Our journey has not been without growing pains, stresses, and some bumps in the road. We believe these things have helped form the business into the wonderful thing it is today. Looking back to where we started in 2018, we are thankful for all the people, relationships, and lessons that built Therapy Trails to what it is today. We believe the Lord has given us this platform to honor Him and love on others, through the avenue of pediatric therapy. And we cannot wait to see what happens next!
